Associate Director of Revenue : Boston, MA (229662)
Job Description
Expanding software company in Boston is seeking a Director of Revenue. Reporting to VP, the Director of Revenue will have a strong foundation to lead and build a revenue team. With a combination of Public Accounting experience and working for a pre-ipo company, this individual will need to have the technical and operational knowledge to lead the efforts here. Responsible for the management of the company's revenue function, and will include ownership of revenue recognition policies, processes and underlying systems to ensure compliance with US GAAP.

Responsibilities:
Lead and serve as a mentor to the revenue team
Responsible for preparing and maintaining the company’s revenue recognition policies
Serve as an internal technical accounting resource during contract negotiation by working with the sales and legal teams and analyzing the impact of non-standard terms and conditions, communicating the revenue impact of such terms, and offering alternative structures, as available
Manage the adoption of ASC 606 from both technical accounting and systems perspective
Supervise the monthly revenue close process, focusing on process improvement and scalability
Work closely with IT development team to improve system processes and reporting outputs
Monitor relevant US GAAP and SEC developments to ensure revenue recognition policies and procedures are in compliance
Participate in quarterly revenue, billings and collections forecasting procedures
Maintain and improve internal controls within the quote to cash process

Requirements:
5+ years overall experience, with 3+ years in a “Big 4” accounting firm 
B.S. / B.A. or equivalent
Extensive experience in the application of ASC 605, ASC 985 and ASC 606
Experience in environments with high transaction volume required, preferably with experience building/scaling a high growth revenue organization
Excellent teamwork, will be required to effectively communicate cross-functionally

Compensation Package
Up to $140,000 depending on experience
Discretionary Bonus
Excellent Bonus
